I recently decided to add the S.O.P. Micro Chest Rig to my kit as an alternative to my PC for lower risk operations and things like that and I am 100% satisfied. 10/10 recommend. The attached pouches on the front are durable and have interchangeable and even replaceable inserts via hook and loop. It is extremely comfortable and a fairly slick minimalistic setup but still versatile and modular. I am able to carry a standard 3 5.56 mag loadout, 2 Glock 19 mags, as well trauma supplies, batteries, chem lights, admin stuff, etc in the provided pouches and it forms a solid foundation of a lighter kit.
Only issue is that the wing pouches (optional) can fit kinda weird and aren't particularly comfortable with a radio BUT this does not really change my opinion of the rig. Still recommend all day long.
If you’re looking for a micro chest rig, just get it. The versatility of this kit is pretty sweet. I’m probably going to use the wing pouches for mags maybe a radio, likely more mags. Admin pouch carries enough admin stuff. Currently the dangler pouch is setup as an IFAK. There are a ton of micro chest rigs out there. I’m not sure what made me choose this one. What I can say it that I’m not disappointed at all.
I love this rig, I was worried since it was my first time buying one and whether it'd even fit women but I managed to size it down enough to be perfect, theres so much personable space too and plenty of room for modification or changing gear on the fly, the dark multicam is also just as advertised, 10/10!
Great product, survived two deployments and dozens of exercises in about every environment you can imagine. After about five years I’ve started to see some wear and tear but honestly cannot find another chest rig/placard set up for the same price/quality. Highly recommended for the rock-eaters of the world.
Quality Chest Rig, and you cant beat the price.
So much value for money. It fits Heavy 308 Mags with the new insert and the radio pouch fits an MPU5 and EUD perfectly. I was able to fit a third mag in the right radio pouch no problem.
I love how modular the rig is. Definite Buy!
(Yeah I know I could have got the skeleton placard and accessories designed for more mags)
I’ve used this rig (black) as a placard on a carrier and for hiking for the last 2 almost three years. It has held up great. There is some flex in the side magazine pouch but that’s just elastic and use. Overall great quality for reasonable price. It pairs well with the Haley mag inserts. The only negative I have found is the zippers can bind a bit but nothing that’s impeded functionality or caused damage.
I like how flexible and comfortable it is to carry my 55.6 mags on the chest rig the quality feels really good and the looks are pretty fire,I think Acetac is about to be a top brand for military use and I can see that in the future
I paired the S.O.P. Micro Chest Rig with the M.S.P Assault Pack for a lightweight unencumbered tactical rig to carry 5.56 & 9mm mags w/some basic essentials. Radio, hydration and other accessories live comfortably and securely in the pack, med-kit and the rest are easily within reach inside or affixed to the Chest Rig. Quality materials and well thought-out design highlight this versatile system. I added only one item I felt improved the overall fit and weight distribution in the form of a T-Rex “Y” strap adapter, which mates to both strap receivers on the Chest Rig, providing one simple attachment point for the Assault Pack side straps. I just found that it was easier running 2 straps vs. 4 and the “Y” adapter added more stability/security to the rig doing so. Certainly AceTac could make/offer this adapter in-house (no offense to T-Rex!) if the demand warranted it. But, what works for me may not work for others. Overall, I’m very pleased with my AceTac setup.
I was on the market to buy a new rig since my now-dated Eagle Industries SFLCS rig was showing its age. I needed something smaller yet robust for when I go hunting. Since I bought this Ace Tac rig, I haven’t looked back at my SFLCS rig. Although I recommend buying the Flex wings if you’re a bigger guy/gal, the ones that come stock on the rig sit more on the inside of the chest rig. But besides that, I love this thing! Thank you, AceTac!
Awesome rig. Haven't had a chance to run mine, but spent a month in Louisiana playing reindeer games (IYKYK) 🦌🎮 , and I was so impressed with everyone else's and wearing my buddies, that I had to order one for myself. 👍📦 Everything came in a great little package; everything was there, and the sewing and stitching is top-notch. 💯🧵 Thanks for making Christmas tactical, Acetac. If you're reading this, go order one for yourself right now! 👍🚀
I must say that I am very impressed with the rig. I am really loving the modularity of the rig. Quality is very good and I am really looking forward to putting it through the paces. My one negative is the wing pouches, I don't like how thwy are set up. I do think I am going to try a set of the "Flex Wing Pouches"and see if they work out better. But overall, probably the best micro rig I have found.
Can’t be more happier with my purchase.
I was looking for a smaller bit of kit for work, so far the Acetac micro rig feels light and isn’t cumbersome. Tossed a med kit, radio holder, and the flex wing pouches to hold a strobe as well as an extra tourniquet.
I ordered my chest rig in wolf grey due to the picture on the website displaying a proper wolf grey chest rig. However, in person, the colors are off. The grey fabric is all right, but the zippers are blue rather than the darker grey promised in the pictures. I am disappointed in this as I hoped it would match my other Wolf grey gear and act as a budget alternative to a placard system I could use on my Wolf grey plate carrier. Besides the cosmetics, the construction is good for a sub $100 rig, the only knock on it is the stitching having many ends that stick out rather than being properly trimmed and flush. Overall, I'd recommend this chest rig for the price performance, and how feature-packed it is. Just be aware of more niche colors like wolf grey not matching the looks of other brands.
So when I was ready to buy a chest rig every YouTube video I was watching they had the big named company’s but who wants to spend $400 on just the chest rig so I just continued looking and I stumbled upon this company and once again it seemed too cheap to be worth it but I went with it and I couldn’t be happier. I would strongly recommend
Had purchased my rig from Amazon and when it arrived they had sent the wrong color and one of the zippers had malfunctioned. Messaged them on Instagram and they squared it away. Rig fits great and does what I need it too.
Being “micro” I was concerned about fitment. I’m 6’1” and about 270. Had plenty of adjustability to fit me and some more room as well. The quality is amazing, very neatly and precisely stitched. Can’t believe how affordable it was. Will be buying more items
As a fellow Marine Corps vet. I gotta say, kudos to you guys. I absolutely love this thing, feels durable and has a lot of the customization I wanted..really fits well with the kit I’m building. Will definitely buy from you guys again in the future! Keep it up and Semper Fi!
